As we enter Spring and Summer, it's time to swap those heavy, thick layers for lightweight and breathable garments. Head for the open trials and explore the outdoors in the comfort of the warmer seasons.
Luxurious Linen was the high performance fabric of summer for the Vikings (made from flax). It was durable, breathable and felt much cooler than wool in the winter. The downside was that it was incredibly labour intensive to make, and therefore expensive.
