Along with the designs, the materials would carry significance as well, Gold and Silver would often be reserved for chieftains, kings etc. Whereas warriors would usually have bracelets made of bronze or iron twisted into a bracelet, which would make status clear from a distance away. Today, wearing an arm bracelet connects you with those meanings and story about who you once were and where you stood.
