Let This Viking God Sculpture Bring Peace And Goodness To Your Space!
Norse mythology tells the story of a god named Baldr who is prophesied to die. His mother, Frigg, was so concerned about his safety that she asked every object on Earth to promise not to hurt her son. One object refused to make the promise - mistletoe. But Frigg assumed that the plant was too unimportant and harmless to ask for it to make a vow.
When Loki, the trickster god, heard of this, he created a magical spear by cutting off the end of the plant. He hurried to the place where the gods were throwing objects at Baldr, which would bounce off without harming him. Loki gave the spear to Hoor, who was Baldr's brother and had been blinded by Loki earlier on.
One consequence of Baldr's death was that it set in motion a sequence of events that will inevitably end with the destruction of the gods at Ragnarök. It is prophesied that his rebirth will bring peace and goodness to all living things.
This figure is made of sustainable materials, covered with an oil and beeswax mixture. This coating is environmentally-friendly and also gives the tree a magnificent look. It makes a great gift for anyone with an interest in Norse Mythology.
