To the Vikings, ravens were a symbol of wisdom. Sacred to Odin, Huginn (Old Norse: Thought) and Muninn (Old Norse: Memory) are a pair of ravens that fly across the world, bringing news and information to the Allfather.

At dawn, every day these two ravens would set off to scout the nine realms. On return, they would rest on Odin’s shoulders and inform him of all the information they had gathered. Odin’s pursuit of knowledge was relentless and it was something he would have said to have sacrificed an eye for. The Edda notes he was worried for both of these ravens should they not return, signifying just how important they were to him.

Norse Gods Thor And Odin Viking Beer Mug

Beautiful and sturdy!

I use my mug a LOT and I love how cold drinks stay cold for hours with ice still in the mug and hot drinks I can have hot coffee in the morning after all the school hustle and bustle! I've gotten so many compliments on it as well!!!!
