Sometimes, when we think of Vikings, we often conjure up images of weapons and armour, preparing to fight.
However, there have been burial sites discovered across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, each of which has revealed a large plethora of eye-catching Viking jewellery. Pieces of Jewellery have been found adorned with symbols and iconic engravings of Norse mythology.
Similar to Celtic jewellery, what the Vikings wore as jewellery was crafted with strength and durability in mind, built to withstand the toll of daily life—this wasn't just for fighting warriors but also those who worked in building upkeep or in the fields.
However, the resilience aspect is something we like to incorporate into the jewellery we sell. Most of our products are made from 316 stainless steel, ensuring they are long last and stand up to the test of time. This can include some of our more intricate pieces, such as our Thor's hammer products which are believed to summon the god's power, giving the wearer greater protection and strength.
